About Aikido Eiwa Kai 

Aikido Eiwa Kai was established in 2008 by Master Masahiko Noriki, former Dojo-cho (head instructor) of the Aikido Yoshinkan Hombu Dojo, initially as "Yoshinkan Aikido Noriki Dojo." It began its activities at the Minamigaoka Junior High School martial arts hall in Nerima City. Gradually expanding its scope, the organization became independent from Yoshinkan in 2022 and was renamed "Aikido Eiwakai." Currently, it operates in Nerima City and Itabashi City in Tokyo, as well as Kawagoe City in Saitama Prefecture.

Origin of the Name

"The character "Ei" (叡)in "Eiwa Kai" (叡和会) signifies profound wisdom or deep insight, representing the mind's ability to perceive things thoroughly and understand their true essence."

The character "Wa" (和) expresses the core philosophy of Aikido: "When confronted, harmonize." This name encapsulates the essential spirit of Aikido.

In short, Eiwa Kai is a community for those who wish to cultivate deep wisdom and keen insight, and to nurture the true spirit of Aikido.

Meaning of the Symbol Mark

Aikido Eiwa Kai's symbol mark is designed to represent the spirit of Aikido, symbolizing oneness with the universe. Furthermore, the six elements within the mark embody six virtues that martial artists should strive for: Kindness, Consistency in Word and Deed, Patience, Effort, Reflection, and Self-Cultivation.

Aikido Eiwa Kai is an organization dedicated to cultivating the mind and body through Aikido, aiming for profound spiritual growth.
